The Dumbbell Shoulder is a great way to emphasize the deltoid heads of the shoulder. The different positions of the dumbbell can emphasize each deltoid head more of less. For instance if you keep the dumbbells more in front of your body or even turn so your palms are facing towards you your anterior or front delts are stressed more. If you shift the dumbbells more out to the side and pre4ss more evenly and somewhat behind your head you stress more of the lateral deltoid head with the rear deltoid head assisting.-Mike McErlane
