dear,Jonathan im hoping to play football at my high school next year but i need a diet and traing program. i weight 262lbs and wanted to lose weight to play running back. any tips?
Start doing some sprints! 20 yard, 30 yard, 50 yard and 100 yard sprints. Get you endurance up and also you speed. Additionally, by performing these sprints, you will burn a bunch of calories that are essential to you losing weight. After you have done the sprints, hit the gym and move some weight for about 45-75 minutes. Move the weight fast and through a full range of motion. Stay away from the machines and don’t spend too much time working one muscle group at a time. You need to do compound movements-squats, lunges, deadlifts, pull-ups, push-ups, bent over rows, military press, power cleans, etc. Try that stuff out and get back to me-let me know how it’s going.
