"Bulky" muscular, looking to "lean out" a bit.
I am a very active, fit female in her mid-30’s. I have recently begun lifting heavier weights and increasing my intensity, which has greatly increased my strength and enabled me to have more endurance during workouts, runs, etc. but I feel I am a little too bulky and wondered what I can do, dietetically speaking, to lean out a bit. I eat a lot of lean protein and “good carbs” but would like a leaner look. Can you please advise?
Try reducing the rest periods in between sets. You will lift less weight but your metabolic rate will go up, thus making you leaner.
