Deep Squat
What do you think of people doing deep squats?
Deep squats does in fact pit a greater load on the quads and hamstrings, glutes etc and full range of motion reps are good in this instance, HOWEVER, many would argue including myself, would note that going all the way down results in the pelvis rotating forward ( posterior tilt) which can cause a slight separation in the lower lumbar discs which puts pressure on the lower back and over time can cause issues. My philosophy has and will always be go until the thing his parallel to the floor, but maintain an anterior tilt ( butt still sticks out) and you still will get all of the benefits necessary in the squat
