Building muscle
I am interested in putting on more defined muscle. I want to do more than “tone”. I do lift wts. about 3-4 times a week, do cardio 4-5 times a week but am looking for much more definition in my arms/back and legs. I am interested in the type of supplement that may be useful. I do take whey protein shakes after I lift and take CLA 2-3 times a day. Any suggestions to build more muscle? Thanks
Hello! Putting on more muscle and definition are two entirely different things and actually very hard to achieve at the same time! That is the very same approack that competitors use when prepping for shows—-other wise known as the difference between off-season training and show prep training.
In off-season, we eat more and do less cardiovascular work in order to have the energy to push a lot of weight and have the calories to grow. Shos prep is opposite.. Food is stripped down and cardio fat-brurning work is increased to get lean and cut.
As far as supplements go… For muscle growth you absolutely need BCAA’s, Glutamine and even Kre-Alkalyn.
