Gaining Weight
I am 20 yrs old and stands 5'6 ft. Eversince childhood, I am skinny. I feel weak maybe because I am not engage in any sports. But starting last April, I tried lifting some weights, doing cardios. It was hard at first because I cant even do a single push up or crunches back then. But now, I feel that my body became stronger. Today, marks the 73rd day of my workout, eventhough I’ve tried so hard, I guess I’m not gaining so much. I’ve been working really hard, seven days a week, maximum of two hours a day. My chest is still not wide and I still have a belly. I weigh 55 kgs. I also have strict diet. What can I do to improve my body? Your answer will be much appreciated. Thank you so much
You are actually training too much! 7 days per week does not let your body get any rest to build muscle! At most you should train 2 days in a row and then take the 3rd day off. It is during the rest days that your body can repair and grow muscle! Also, maybe your diet is TOO strict. When looking to get big you need to EAT BIG! 6-7 feedings per day filled with protein, carbs and healthy fats. You need to eat every 2 to 2.5 hours. Also, make sure you are only training each muscle group once every 5 days or so.
