Pear shape
Hi I want to work my whole body to lose fat, but I have a problem, I have a pear body, thin top and wide below. So the combination would be perfect for my toning at the top and losing fat at the bottom, is it possible?
Well, genetics are genetics and we cannot change them, only work with them in the best possible way. I would make the foundation of your workouts cardio sessions daily, such as uphill treadmill, stairmill, bike and elliptical. You can also do 4 weight workouts per week with two focusing on very high rep leg training (25-30 reps per set), and the other two being for the upper body with heavier weights (12-15 reps per set), which are more productive for building (“toning”) muscle. If you work hard and consistently, over time you should start to see some more “evenness” between upper and lower body.
